The OPC server needs to shutdown

Hello.

The OPC server is explicitly making the IOPCShutdown::ShutdownRequest, and the client is then required to disconnect - which is what QuickOPC is properly doing.
You really need to investigate at the server side why the server is doing that. I suggest you can contact their technical support.

Best regards

I have an application writing data to an OPC DA server. It has been running at a customer for several years. Now, presumably after a Windows update, it stopped working. I use the method WriteMultipleItemValues. The error is HRESULT 0xC0049006, "Server shut down. The OPC server indicated that it needs to shutdown."

The customer says they tried restarting the server multiple times and even rebooting the server machine. It's a Kepware KEPServerEX 6.14. Do you have any idea what could be the problem? Both my app and KEPServer are running on the same machine, so the connection is through localhost, firewall off.
