Hello,

thank you for the link. The developer is investigating the issue. I will let you know here when we have more information (can be later today, but also take a couple of days - do not know yet).

Best regards

Hi,

Thanks for your quick reply. Unfortunately the XML-DA gateway is not accessible from outside. We use this program: opc.downloads.kassl.de/trial/Kassl-dOPC-XGate-Trial.zip

It's just a executable program without installation needs. If you have a running OPC-DA server you could use this gateway to reproduce the behaviour.

Kind regards,
Christian

Hello,
thank you for reporting this.

Is there a way to obtain a demo copy of your XML-DA gateway server, or connect to it over Internet? Without that, I would pass the issue to the programmer and we would try to "simulate" such response in order to resolve the issue, but of course that is more problematic and would take more time.

Best regards

Hi,

My company evaluates some .NET standard compatible OPC XML-DA client libraries.

While testing your OpcLabs.QuickOpc library we encountered a problem with our XML-DA Gateway server.

QuickOPC throws an exception:
ProtocolException: The content type text/xml; charset="utf-8" of the response message does not match the content type of the binding (text/xml; charset=utf-8).

As you can see the XML-DA gateway returns the charset with quotes which is not really standard and the QuickOPC library throws an exception.

Do you know if it is possible to configure your library to ignore the quotes in the soap response of the XML-DA gateway?

If not we have to evaluate other XML-DA client libraries but yours look really good and we would be glad if we could use it.

Thanks in advance,
Christian Valentin
