We are releasing a brand new product today, QuickOPC-UA. Rapid client development for OPC Unified Architecture finally becomes a reality. QuickOPC-UA hides the complexities of OPC UA and allows the developer to focus on the application logic.

The purpose of the event is to show advanced concepts of OPC UA, cross the bridge between production control systems and business information systems, and explore new application fields for OPC UA.

This year we have tested the pre-release version of QuickOPC-UA (for OPC Unified Architecture). We were excited by the results  - the interoperability of this newest product will be excellent, as with QuickOPC-Classic.

This version combines QuickOPC.NET, QuickOPC-COM, and all examples and tools in a single installation package. We have also reduced the number of assemblies, and we have unified assemblies for .NET Framework 4 with those for earlier versions. COM part is now oficially supported on 64-bit systems as well.

These versions add support for OPC-A&E specification (Alarms and Events Custom Interface Standard Version 1.10). This specification is covered by an entirely new object hierarchy.

QuickOPC.NET and QuickOPC-COM Version 5.10 development is right on track and on schedule. Today, we have made them available to Beta testers. Anyone with registration on OPC Labs web site is welcome to download and try the Betas.

OPC Labs participated in OPC Europe Day 2011, and also actively participated in OPC Europe Advisory group (Country Representative).

Prices of our QuickOPC-COM and QuickOPC Combo products have been permanently reduced by 10 - 21 percent today.

QuickOPC.NET 5.04 and its associated Bonus Pack have been released today. These new versions add support for 64-bit development (x64 platform), with separate set of assemblies allowing to take full advantage of modern processors. Component interfaces remain identical between x86 and x64 platforms, allowing a single source code to target multiple platforms.

We have released version 1.01 of OPC Server for Johnson Controls N2. The server now support OPC Unified Architecture (UA) connections, using UA COM Wrapper, included in the installation.

QuickOPC-COM 5.03 and QuickOPC.NET 5.03 versions have been released today. The new versions contain separate set of .NET Framework 4 assemblies, while keeping the possibility to target earlier versions of .NET Framework (2.0, 3.0 and 3.5). The components integrate seamlessly with Visual Studio 2010; we continue to support Visual Studio 2008 as well.

The OPC Europe Marketing Region's primary mission is marketing and evangelizing the OPC Foundation, OPC Foundation Technology and OPC Product Certification throughout Europe.

OPC Labs has become a Country Representative for Czech Republic, with Zbynek Zahradnik as the person appointed. We aim to arrange OPC-related activities in the country, and provide feedback to OPC Europe on its efforts.

QuickOPC-COM 5.02 and QuickOPC.NET 5.02 versions have been released today. These versions include OPC UA Proxy, and allow programmatic access to OPC Unified Architecture (UA) servers using the same easy model as with traditional OPC servers. The release shows our commitment to follow the cutting edge OPC technologies closely.

We are proud to announce that the OPC Server for Johnson Controls N2 has been successfully tested today with official OPC Foundation's Compliance Test Tool, using Data Access 2.05 and 3.0 test modules.The results have been sent to OPC Foundation, and the product will appear accordingly listed in the foundation's Product Catalog.

This certification gives the buyers additional quality measure.

This year we have tested the newly released OPC Server for Johnson Controls N2. The results proved excellent interoperability; any OPC client available could seemlessly connect and communicate with the server. The OPC server also behaved very robustly during the interop week.

This OPC Server handles both N2 and N2Open protocols, and makes integration of Metasys and vendor devices a snap. Acts as a master, and can pass through traffic from other master. Read the datasheet for technical details, or visit the product page.

This is a brand new versions for customers who use COM automation development tools. We have back-ported the improvements made while developing QuickOPC.NET 5.00 into the COM product, so that the associated customer base can benefit from them too.

We will now use the forums as the main venue for technical support. Also, the web site has been improved in many aspects, and the information made up-to-date.

Version 5 is a brand new version with interfaces that are tailored to .NET, abandoning the COM automation heritage.

This year we have added QuickOPC.NET to the interop portfolio, and have successfully tested it with numerous 3-rd party OPC servers. QuickOPC.NET received the "Self-certified" logo.

This version contains up-to-date OPC server and client libraries.

We have used OPC Interoperability Workshop in Nuremberg to further strengthen the robustness and reliability of QuickOPC (COM), and upcoming QuickOPC.NET product which is under development and will be released in 2009. Simply put, our client code can connect to any OPC Server we know about!
